SUPERIOR START TO THE SEASON… UIU has posted a 2-0 record to begin the season and they have won both of their games by 20+ points. Senior
Mia Huberty leads all scorers with 15.0 points per game on 54.2% shooting. She has hauled in 6.0 rebounds per game, ranks second on the team with 3.0 assists per game and has added two steals and a block. Sophomore
Ava Privet is averaging 13.0 points per game and she scored a career-high 20 points on 7-14 shooting in the season opener against Augustana. She ranks second on the team with 2.0 steals per game and has blocked one shot. Fifth year
Kayla Bohr has scored in double figures in both games and she is averaging 11.5 points per game on 45.0% shooting. She ranks second on the team with an average of 7.0 rebounds per game, while hauling in a team-high six offensive boards. Senior
Helen Staley has recorded 3.5 points per game on only three shots this year, and she leads the Peacocks with 9.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.0 blocks per game. Senior
Anna Soler has added 5.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game, while recording a team-high 2.5 steals per game.
BREAKING SCHOOL RECORDS… The Peacocks are coming off their largest margin of victory since becoming a division two program, as they defeated Northland College 89-21. Freshman
Lindsey Davis led all scorers with 18 points on 8-14 shooting and she added five rebounds and a team-high four assists. Redshirt-sophomore
Abbie Riederer dropped 17 points on 6-8 shooting and she converted 3-4 three-point shots. Riederer hauled in seven rebounds in the game and added two steals. Junior
Laney Pilcher scored 12 points on 5-7 shooting, converted both her three-point attempts and hauled in six rebounds. The Peacocks played lockdown defense in all four quarters, as they recorded 15 steals and six blocks as a team, while forcing 34 turnovers.
SHARP-SHOOTING WARRIORS… Winona State opened the season with a loss to Northwestern Oklahoma State but have bounced back by going on a three-game win streak. Senior Olivia Gamoke leads all scorers with 17.5 points per game on 49.1% shooting and she has shot 40.0% from beyond the arc. Gamoke scored in double figures in all four games with a season-high 21 points against Maryville and she has added 4.3 rebounds per game. Fifth year Mattie Schimenz has scored 13.8 points per game on 45.9% shooting while going 44.4% from three-point range. She has also reached double figures in all four matches, while ranking second on the team with 2.5 assists per game. Sophomore Vivica Bretton has scored 7.3 points per game and she leads the Warriors with an average of 6.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.
DEBUT AGAINST THE LAKERS… Roosevelt has gone up against GLVC opponents in all four of their games where they have posted a 1-3 record. Sophomore Marie Outlay is scoring a team-high 15.0 points per game on 39.0% shooting while converting 23-28 (82.1%) free throw attempts. She scored a season-high 22 points against UMSL with three steals in the season opener and has averaged 5.0 rebounds per game on the season. Senior Luka Malinka has added 14.0 points per game while making 13-14 (92.9%) free throws. She is coming off a season-high 25 points against McKendree and has hauled in 3.7 rebounds per game. Senior Jayla Turchin is averaging 8.0 points per game on 35.1% shooting and she has grabbed a team-leading 6.5 rebounds per game.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS… The Peacocks will play three games during the first week of December, with their lone home game coming against Quincy on Monday, Dec. 2 at 5 p.m.
