1,000 POINT SCORER… Katie Tornstrom surpassed 1,000 points in her collegiate career this past weekend against Rockhurst, when she swished her fourth consecutive three pointer of the game at the end of the third quarter. Tornstrom scored 103 points as a freshman at MSU-Moorhead before transferring to UIU for her sophomore season. Since joining the Peacocks, she has scored 899 points, which included a 378-point season last year. Katie is currently on pace to set a new season-best scoring mark, as she sits at 273 points with ten regular season games remaining. Tornstrom is averaging a team-high 17.1 points per game which ranks 5th in the GLVC. She has averaged 2.9 three-pointers made per game on 41.2% shooting which both rank second in the conference (minimum of 100 shots). Katie has recorded four 20-point double doubles on the year, highlighted by a season-high 29-point performance against Illinois Springfield.
RECENT RECAP… Cassidy Pagel has had a very successful month of January as her four highest scoring games of the season came in UIU's past five matches. She scored a season-high 12 points on 5-6 shooting with six rebounds against Quincy and is coming off an 11-point, six rebound, three assist game against Rockhurst.
Brooke Evenson is coming off her fifth double-digit rebounding game of the season against Rockhurst and she recently matched her season-high 18 points against Southwest Baptist on 7-13 shooting. Evenson is averaging 12.3 points and 7.6 rebounds per game on the year and she is only 47 points away from the 1K club.
Mia Huberty recorded 5+ assists in two of the Peacocks past three games, which she has done five times on the year. She had a very efficient 12 points on 5-7 shooting against William Jewell this past weekend and is averaging 14.8 points per game.
Amelia Valentino shot 3-5 from three against Rockhurst, finishing with nine points. She has made three+ shots from beyond the arc three times this season and is shooting 43.5% from three-point range.

MEETING WITH MISSOURI-ST. LOUIS… The Tritons have posted an 8-11 record while going 6-7 in GLVC play. After a phenomenal start to the season which included a five-game win streak, UMSL has struggled quite a bit recently, losing seven of their previous nine games. Missouri-St. Louis has started the exact same starting five in all nineteen of their games, and they are led by junior Jalysa Stokes. Stokes is leading the GLVC in points per game with 19.2, while shooting 41.9% from the floor. She has scored in double figures in every game this season and put together a season-high 28-point performance against Kentucky Wesleyan. Sophomore Morgan Ramthun has averaged 8.6 points on 44.8% shooting and a team-high 7.8 rebounds per game. She has recorded double digit rebounds five times and has two double doubles on the year. Junior Audrey Martinez-Stewart is averaging 6.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and a team-high 3.1 assists per game.
MATCHUP WITH MCKENDREE… The Bearcats have been much better this season, going 14-5 with a 10-3 GLVC mark. McKendree went on a nine-game win streak earlier this season, which came to and end the last time they faced Upper Iowa. Junior Clare Breden is averaging 17.8 points per game which ranks second in the conference, while shooting 46.7% from the field. She is great at getting to the free throw line, and she has shot 89-110 (80.9%) from the charity stripe. Senior Naomi McDaniel has averaged 14.5 points per game on incredible efficiency from the floor (55.0%). She has been one of the GLVC's best defensive players as she leads the conference with 1.6 blocks per game, and she has recorded ten blocks over McKendree's past three games. McDaniel is also averaging 7.9 rebounds per game which ranks fifth in the conference. McKendree has a trio of shooters surrounding their two best players. Senior Madyson Harper is averaging 9.4 points on 35.6% three-point shooting, while averaging a team-high 1.9 steals per game. Senior Christy Fortune is averaging 8.5 points on 39.3% three-point shooting and she has made all 18 of her free throw attempts. Lastly, sophomore Georgia Duncan has shot a team-high 48.3% from beyond the arc.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS… The Peacocks will hit the road for games against the Indianapolis Greyhounds and Lewis Flyers. The Peacocks face UIndy on Thursday, Feb. 8 at 5 p.m. before going up against Lewis on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 1 p.m.
