PEACOCK HUE REVIEW… Upper Iowa traveled to Minnesota last weekend to take on Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State. Upper Iowa women's basketball traveled north for their first matchup of the weekend and fell to Minnesota Duluth 76-48. The Peacocks kept it competitive throughout the first half, but were unable to stay in pace with the Bulldogs for the remainder of the game. The Bulldogs led by 10 after the first half as they shot 45% from the field (24-31) in comparison to the Peacocks who netted 32% on 10-31 shooting. The final two quarters consisted of Minnesota Duluth taking advantage of offensive opportunities as they pulled ahead and out of reach from the Peacocks.

Upper Iowa women's basketball wrapped up their weekend with a valiant effort on the road against St. Cloud State, but came up shy in a 64-57 result.  The Peacocks were down 52-38 with under seven minutes left to play. They came all the way back and cut the deficit to two points with 30 seconds remaining. As the Peacocks trailed 59-57, UIU sent SCSU to the line in hopes of getting ahead, but the Huskies converted five straight free throws to seal the game.
