THIS WEEKEND IN PEACOCK WOMEN'S HOOPS… The Upper Iowa University women's basketball team will hit the road as they return to play in the Northern Sun Conference's South Division. The Peacocks will take on the Wildcats of Wayne State College in Wayne, Neb. on Friday at 5:30 p.m. before heading north to Sioux Falls, S.D. to battle the Vikings of Augustana University on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

LIVE COVERAGE OPTIONS… Live stats and webcasts provided by Wayne State and Augustana for each game will be available through the links at UIUPeacocks.com/Live and included with this story. The contests will also stream live on the NSIC Network app through Roku and Fire devices, as well as Apple and Android TV.

QUICK CHECK IN THE REARVIEW… In their final regular season matchups against the NSIC North, Upper Iowa split a pair of decisions at Dorman Memorial Gymnasium in Fayette. The Peacocks posted an 80-71 win over Minot State University on Friday night before falling 73-60 to the University of Mary on Saturday.

TEARING IT UP… Katie Tornstrom was a sparkplug off the bench for the Peacocks this past weekend averaging 13.5 points and six rebounds per game. The junior guard scored 14 points in 14 minutes of action and added 6 rebounds in the win versus Minot State and followed with a 13-point, six-rebound performance against UMary. This season, Tornstrom leads UIU in field goal percentage (43.8%), 3-point percentage (39.5%) and free throw percentage (84%). She is fourth on the team in scoring with a 9.5 points per game average.

TOP PERFORMERS… Lydia Haack continues to lead the way for UIU with a scoring average of 13.3 points per game. The sophomore guard also leads the team with a total of 79 assists (4 per game) and 34 steals (1.7 per game). In addition to averaging 12.4 points per game, redshirt sophomore Jessica Musgrave leads the way on the glass with an average of 7.1 rebounds per game. Junior guard Brooke Evenson has hit 43 three-pointers this season and her 2.4 makes from deep per game is the third best average in the NSIC. On the defensive end, senior center Savannah Domeyer has rejected 16 shots this season, good for nearly 1 block per game.

LIVING AT THE LINE… The Peacocks were aggressive on the offensive end in their matchups this past weekend.  In both of their games, UIU had at least 20 attempts from the free throw line.  Their 19 makes against Minot State marked a new season-high. In their 19 games, the Peacocks are shooting 73.3% from the charity stripe as a team.

HOLDING HOME COURT… Upper Iowa is 4-7 inside Dorman Memorial Gymnasium this season. Those four wins are the most since the team finished with five during the 2012-13 season. UIU has won three of their last five home games, two of which have come versus NSIC opponents. The Peacocks are averaging 66.8 points on Prochaska Court versus 51.9 on the road. Rebounding has been another big difference as UIU is averaging nearly 10 more rebounds per game at home. This weekend, the Peacocks have the opportunity to improve on their 0-7 record on the road.

The Wildcats were led by Zacharias, who scored a season-high 29 points on 61.1% (11-18) shooting from the field and 41.7% (5-12) shooting from behind the arc.
