Recap... The Peacocks did not give up a single game through three doubles matches as they flawlessly secured a 1-0 lead in the dual. Varvara Ogorodnikova was perfect on the day as she did not give up a single game throughout her No. 1 doubles or singles competition. She and Lina Ziani picked up the 6-0 victory in No. 1 doubles before going on to win 6-0, 6-0 in her No. 1 singles contest. Elaina Wall also swept through her doubles and singles matches as she secured 6-0 wins in straight sets in the No. 6 singles match while teaming up with Mya Herrmann to win 6-0 in No. 3 doubles.

Jessa Micheili won a closely contested first set in No. 2 singles by a score of 6-4 before claiming the straight-set victory with a 6-1 win in the second set. The 6-4 set is as close as the Peacocks would allow any Golden Eagle to come throughout the match. Upper Iowa surrendered only 11 of the 81 games played in singles competition against Minnesota Crookston and secured a 7-0 win in the NSIC Dual without losing a single set.

Quotables... "I am happy we got our first win of the season. Everybody played hard again today and got well-deserved wins. We still need to keep improving on our consistency and avoiding unforced errors for our upcoming matches. We're looking forward to playing against two strong programs like UNI and Purdue Northwest next weekend." - Head Coach Léo Millet

Up Next... The Peacocks will play close to home in their next match against the University of Northern Iowa. The non-conference dual is scheduled for 5 p.m. in Cedar Falls, Iowa on Friday, Mar. 5.
