THIS WEEK IN PEACOCK WOMEN'S HOOPS… Upper Iowa is set to host the University of Mary and Minot State University in the final cross-division matchups of the regular season. UMary comes into the contest ranked third in the NSIC North Division with an 11-5 conference record while Minot State is tied for fifth with the University of Minnesota Crookston and Northern State University who sit at 5-11 against conference foes. The Peacocks will hit the hardwood against the Marauders on Friday, Feb. 8 at 5:30 p.m. and the Beavers on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 3:30 p.m. in Dorman Gymnasium.

PRODUCTION FROM WHERE YOU LEAST EXPECT IT… The Peacock bench combined for 58.9 percent of Upper Iowa's total scoring against St. Cloud State University and 52.8 percent against the University of Minnesota Duluth for a total weekend production of 56.0 percent. This was Upper Iowa's largest bench output since the reserves combined for 59.7 percent of total scoring against Augustana University and Wayne State College back on Jan. 11-12. The trio of

Ally Fink and Marina Peinado combined to shoot 54.8 percent from the floor to lead the bench in the effort, each resetting their career-highs in the process. Armstrong recorded a career-high 11 points against UMD and has averaged 5.3 points over the last four games, 3.5 points higher than her season average. Fink averaged 11.0 points over the weekend after a 12-point night against SCSU and 10 against UMD. Peinado's career-high also came against the Huskies when the junior scored eight for a weekend total of 13.

SCOUTING THE MARAUDERS… After opening conference play with a 7-1 mark, UMary (13-6, 11-5 NSIC) has gone 4-4 over the last month of competition. The Marauders swept last weekend's slate against Wayne State (65-60) and Augustana (68-62) in large part due to a career weekend from Cassie Askvig. The junior forward averaged a double-double of 25.0 points and 17.5 rebounds over the weekend to earn herself NSIC North Division Player of the Week honors for the second time this season. Askvig averages 18.9 points (1
st in NSIC) and 9.6 rebounds (6
th in NSIC) this season while Gabbie Bohl scores 18.8 points per game (2
nd in NSIC) and hauls in a team-high 9.8 rebounds (5
th in NSIC). Macy Williams averages 10.4 points and leads the team with 3.9 assists per game (2
nd in NSIC). UMary averages 72.5 points per game (3
rd in NSIC) on 45.3 percent shooting from the floor (1
st in NSIC). Opponents average 66.1 points against the Marauders.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS… Minot State (10-12, 5-11 NSIC) started the conference slate 1-9 but has bounced back to win four of their last six NSIC games. Last weekend, the Beavers fell 61-58 to Augustana but came back from behind in the second half for a 69-64 win over Wayne State. Madison Wald (13.9 ppg, 4.3 rpg), Kari Clements (13.8 ppg, 3.5 rpg), and Mariah Payne (12.6 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 3.6 apg) are the top scorers for the Beavers while Haley Hildenbrand pulls down a team-high 4.5 rebounds. Minot State ranks 10
th in the league for both scoring offense (66.2 ppg) and scoring defense (66.4 ppg), and shoots 43.5 percent (2
nd in NSIC) as a team.
