No. 23 Wolves Defeat Peacocks in NSIC/Sanford Health Basketball Tournament

No. 23 Northern State 85 - Upper Iowa 42. The Peacock women’s basketball season came to an end tonight in Aberdeen, S.D. during the first round of the NSIC/Sanford Health Basketball Tournament. Upper Iowa, the NSIC South Division 8-seed, lost an 85-42 decision to No. 23 Northern State University, the NSIC North Division 1-seed.

The Peacock women's basketball season came to an end tonight in Aberdeen, S.D. during the first round of the NSIC/Sanford Health Basketball Tournament. Upper Iowa, the NSIC South Division 8-seed, lost an 85-42 decision to No. 23 Northern State University, the NSIC North Division 1-seed.

Upper Iowa's season ends with an overall record of 2-27, while Northern State will head to The Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. for the quarterfinals.

UIU knocked down 8 three-pointers in the game, but converted just 7 field goals inside the arc in 30 attempts. Savannah Domeyer and Haley Martin each scored a team-high 6 points off the bench, while Bekka Pierson and Emma Gaber both scored 5 points apiece.
