Upper Iowa will return to Prochaska Court inside Dorman Gymnasium when they host the Northern State University Wolves on Friday, Feb. 2 before hosting the #22 Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragons Saturday, Feb. 3. CATCH 22… Sophomore forward
Bekka Pierson (#22) led UIU in scoring with 12 points at the University of Mary. The Shell Rock, Iowa native has tallied five double-digit point totals, including four of them in Northern Sun play. She is currently averaging 6.1 points per game while pulling down 4.1 rebounds per game.
"DIN"-NER ON BOARD… Freshman guard
Natalie Dinius had a team-high six rebounds in Friday's game vs. UMary. She also reached double figures on Saturday against Minot State University with 10 points. The Canby, Minn. native has 13 double-digit performances including three in her last four-games.

SCOUTING THE WOLVES… Northern State University is coming off of a weekend sweep with a 74-46 win against the University of Sioux Falls on Friday before defeating Southwest Minnesota State University 79-62 on Saturday at Wachs Arena in Aberdeen. NSU is currently 6-2 on the season when on the road. Northern State had three different players averaging double-figures on the weekend while four shot 50.0% or better. The Wolves were led by Miranda Ristau who averaged 19.5 points and 8.5 rebounds last weekend. Haley Froelich and Brianna Kusler both averaged 14.0 and 10 points per game, respectfully. Jill Conrad shot a team-leading 71.4% on the weekend while dishing out 11 assists.

SCOUTING THE DRAGONS... Minnesota State Moorhead also picked up the weekend sweep with a 66-51 win over the Mustangs of SMSU before defeating the Cougars of USF 69-58 on Saturday. MSUM enters the week ranked 22nd in the D2SIDA Women's Basketball Top 25 rankings. The Dragons have now won 11-games in a row this season. It is the fifth time in program history where MSUM has had a winning streak of 10 or more games. Drew Sannes, the reigning NSIC north player of the week, became the all-time leader in blocked shots for the Dragons with 211 in her career. Cassidy Thorson is the first MSUM women's basketball player to record 200 three-pointers in a career. She currently holds the all-time record with 208 at MSU Moorhead. Sannes averaged 19.5 points and 11.0 rebounds on the weekend while shooting 65.4% on the weekend. Megan Hintz averaged 15.0 points and 6.5 rebounds on the weekend while shooting 68.4%. Jacky Volkert averaged 11.0 points and 5.0 assists on the weekend while freshman Kiley Borowicz scored 11 points against SMSU, her sixth double-figure scoring game on the season.
