THIS WEEKEND IN PEACOCK BASKETBALL... Upper Iowa welcomes the Vikings of Augustana College and the Wildcats of Wayne State College to Fayette for the final weekend of the 2014-15 regular season. The Peacocks will celebrate Play4Kay night on Friday with a theme of #LouiseStrong, a special tribute to Upper Iowa's own Dean of Student Development Louise Scott. On Saturday, the team will honor their six seniors following the game against the Wildcats. This weekend will also be the
Northern Sun Conference's It's a Slam Dunk... Don't Drive Drunk weekend which honors the memory of Drake Bigler, the late son of Brad Bigler, the head men's basketball coach at Southwest Minnesota State.
PLAY4KAY... I PLAY 4 and #LOUISESTRONG... The Peacocks are playing for some of their loved ones and friends on Friday.

Ashley Rosenstiel is playing for Deb Marlow. The coaching staff is also playing for their friends and loved ones.
Carol Russell is playing for Margaret Minneci, Karla Gavin, Lynn Isvik and Louise Scott; Jess Abitz is playing for Becky Wheelock;
Ashlee Bailey is playing for Teresa Todd; and
Kerry Raker is playing for Sheila Raker. The team will also be wearing orange ribbons in honor of high school senior Allison Huss of St. Edmonds High School in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Huss lost her battle with cancer; she was to attend Iowa Central Community College and play basketball.
LAST WEEK'S LEADER FOR THE VIKINGS… Shaunteva Ashley helped lead the Vikings to a 2-0 record at home Last weekend. On Friday, she controlled the offense with a 15-point, 9-assist, 5-steal effort in a big win over Southwest Minnesota State. The five steals were a new career high for the senior. The former Roosevelt standout dished out 10 assists on Saturday in a victory over rival Sioux Falls on Saturday.
LAST WEEK'S LEADER FOR THE WILDCATS… Ashton Yossi averaged 17.5 points, 5.5 assists and 4.0 steals per game in home wins over Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State. She recorded 17 points with five assists and four steals in Friday's 76-74 OT win over Sioux Falls. Yossi added 18 points with six assists and four steals in Saturday's 100-52 win over Southwest Minnesota State. She shot 40% from the field (10-25), 55.6% from the 3-point line (5-9) and 90.9% (10-11) at the free throw stripe.
BUCK ON BOARD… Senior forward
Lauren Buck became the new record holder in total rebounds in a single-season with 262. The Anamosa, Iowa product pulled down 11 boards last weekend to surpass UIU Hall of Famer Vicky (Ringenberg) Rarick's record of 252 in a season (1996-97). Buck is second in the Northern Sun and is 14th in the nation with 14 double-doubles this season. Her 10.9 rebounds per game is the highest average in the NSIC and she also leads the Peacocks in scoring with 15.1 points/game.
