Box Score The Wildcat defense dominated the Peacock offensive attack Saturday in Wayne, Nebraska. WSC gave up only five field goals in the first half of play holding Upper Iowa to 12 points in the first 20 minutes.

An even 50% (26-52) shooting performance from the field for Wayne State lifted them to a 70-46 victory over UIU.

With the loss, the Peacocks end the regular season with a 7-22 mark overall including 4-18 in the Northern Sun. WSC finishes their regular season 17-9 and 13-9 in NSIC action.

Trailing 32-12 as the teams returned to the floor, Upper Iowa found some answers on the offensive end scoring 34 points in the second half. Wayne State's offense matched UIU's output over the final 20 minutes en route to the 24-point win.

Olivia Winkler scored a career-high 15 points to go with 4 rebounds and a block.

Next up, the Peacocks begin their quest for a conference tournament championship. Upper Iowa will take on the University of Mary in the NSIC/Sanford Health Women's Basketball Tournament. The Marauders, the second seed from the north, will host the game Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
