Tonight the Peacocks were in Bemidji, Minnesota to take on the Beavers of Bemidji State University. A late run was not enough for Upper Iowa to overcome a 13-point halftime deficit. With just one game to play, UIU falls to 3-22 overall and 3-18 in the Northern Sun Conference. BSU improves to 9-17 overall including 7-14 in the NSIC.

Midway through the first half, both teams tied for the fourth time, 14-14, before the home team began to assert themselves. The Beavers would go on a 15-0 run to take a 29-14 lead with just under four and a half minutes to play in the first half. Upper Iowa would cut the deficit to 9, 29-20, with just over a minute to play, but BSU would take a 33-20 lead into the locker rooms at halftime.

Through the first five and a half minutes of the second half, Bemidji State would increase their lead back to 19, 54-35. The Peacocks would then go on an 11-3 run to cut the deficit to 11, 57-46, thanks to a balanced attack from five UIU scorers. A 7-0 run from the Beavers would increase their lead back to 18, 64-46, before the visitors began to crawl back into the game. With the help of an 18-2 run, Upper Iowa cut the host's lead to just two points, 66-64. The run was fueled by 10 of Whitney Kieffer's game-high 31 points including two three-point plays. During the run, Kieffer also recorded four of her eight rebounds as well as two blocked shots.

UIU was never able to take the lead, however, as BSU held on for a 77-72 victory. Bemidji State dominated on the glass with a 52-37 rebound advantage. The Beavers also had more points in the paint (40-28) as well as second-chance points (18-8).
