The Dragons of Minnesota State University Moorhead dominated Saturday's final NSIC match up of the season in Dorman Gym.  The Peacocks trailed by 22 points at halftime en route to a 97-57 loss at home.  Following the game, the women's basketball program honored their lone senior, Jeri Jacobson, for her two years of dedication to Upper Iowa women's basketball.

MSU Moorhead wasted little time taking control and establishing their offense on Prochaska Court.  Less than six minutes into the game, the Dragons already had a ten-point lead and the visitors continued to work at every possession.  The margin was still ten with eight and a half minutes to play, but a 15-2 run that spanned five and a half minutes gave MSUM control of the contest and their largest lead of the half, 49-26.

The Peacocks (3-21, 3-17 NSIC) were no match for their guests in the second half as the lead ballooned to its largest mark of 42 points as time ran down.

The Dragons picked up their eighth win in their last nine games thanks in large part to Angie Jetvig.  The Dragon win put together a huge night and the Peacocks could not keep up.  Jetvig scored 31 points and pulled down 18 rebounds; she also added three blocks.

MSU Moorhead also held advantages in points in the paint (46-16) and second chance points (25-7).  As a team, the Dragons converted 50% of their field goal opportunities tonight and dominated the rebounding battle to the tune of a 51-26 advantage.
