Game Notes vs. UWP and GVC


This Week’s Action...  The Peacocks will host a pair of non-conference games this week before getting ready for their trip to Alaska for the Mt. McKinley Bank North Star Invitational.  Upper Iowa will welcome the Rangers of the University of Wisconsin Parkside on Tuesday, Nov. 13, and the Vikings of Grand View College on Friday, Nov. 16.  Parkside dominated Eureka College on Saturday, 85-50, for an season-opening win.  Grand View is 3-2 and will play Waldorf College on Tuesday before traveling to Fayette.
 
NSIC Player of the Week...  Whitney Kieffer was named as the NSIC’s Player of the Week after beginning her sophomore campaign with her third career double-double.  Kieffer scored 31 points and pulled down 10 boards; she also added 6 steals and 3 assists.  The 31 points ties her career high which came last season against Bemidji State.
 
Fourteen for Fourteen... Newcomer Lindsay Carroll scored 14 points thanks to a pair of trifectas and six free throws.  The Roscoe, Illinois native transferred to Upper Iowa last spring from Western Illinois University.
 
Meier Racks Up Long Distance Bill... Sophomore Olivia Meier leads the team with three triples.  The Cedar Rapids native scored 13 points versus William Jewell and added 5 rebounds and 3 assists to her stat line.
 
Leading the Rangers... Gaby Bronson (19 ppg, 5 rpg, 3 spg) || Sierra West (13 ppg, 7 apg, 5 spg, 3 rpg) || Danielle Slivka (12 ppg, 6 rpg, 4 apg)
