This Week in Women’s Basketball...

After falling in their final non-conference action of the 2010-11 season last Tuesday, the Peacocks look to get back on track this Saturday when they visit McCown Gymnasium in Winona, Minn. to battle in the Warriors of Winona State University.  The 5 p.m. matchup is the first Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action of the season for both squads.

Scouting the Warriors

The Warriors of Winona State University enter Saturday’s matchup after completing the non-conference portion of their schedule with a perfect 4-0 record and outscoring their opponents on average, 81.8-53.3.

The Warriors have been picked to finish in a tie for fourth in the NSIC after finishing the 2009-10 season with a 17-11 overall record which included a 12-8 mark in league play.

Sophomore guard Katie Wolff leads WSU in scoring by averaging 17.3 points per game in the first four games of the season.
