Game One Stats
Game Two Stats
The Peacock baseball team took the diamond at Robertson Woods Field on a wet Saturday afternoon in Fayette to play host to the Marauders of the University of Mary. Lucas Wilsing and Greg Sieck each picked up complete game wins on the mound for Upper Iowa. Wilsing allowed three runs in picking up his fourth NSIC win of the season, while Sieck shutdown the U-Mary lineup and did not allow a run in his seven innings. Upper Iowa came away with a sweep on day one of the series winning game one 4-3 and game two 2-0. The Peacocks improve to 14-10 in NSIC games and 20-21 overall.
At the plate, Brock Spangenberg drove three runs across the plate in game one with a two-run homerun and a sacrifice fly. Tom Longoni lined a single to right field with one out in the bottom of the seventh to end the game and break a scoreless tie as Kreston Albright scored the game-winning run. In game two, Mitch McClay and Brad Hasenkamp both picked up rbi-singles in the fourth inning.
The two teams are scheduled to match up again tomorrow afternoon at noon for another double header.
