Upper Iowa 2 || Truman State 1
Upper Iowa got on the board in the top of the third off a Meredith Ang that scored Amanda Gargantiel. Peacocks scored again in the fifth after Garagantiel crossed the plate from a Casey Coon two -out double. That proved to be a crucial insurance run as Truman St. scored one run in the bottom of the sixth. Pitcher Christy Loan was able to shut the door in the seventh to give the Peacocks a 2-1 victory.
Coon led the Peacocks with two hits and an RBI, with Ang and Brittany Auten each recording a hit. Loan picked up her fifth win of the season, going seven innings and giving up one run on seven hits.
Missouri Western 4 || Upper Iowa 2
In game two against the Griffons, Upper Iowa scored first in the top half of the third from a Kami Appelt single to score Casey Coon. Missouri Western answered with two runs in the third and fourth inning to make the score 4-1. In the seventh, the Peacocks were able to scratch one more run and bring the go ahead run to the plate, but Meredith Ang lined out to first base to end the rally.
The Peacocks were led in hitting by Coon and Stefani Schulte with two singles each. Appelt, Erin Bennek and Erica Maisto were the other three Peacocks to record a hit. Maisto took the loss, giving up two earned runs, scattering six hits in six innings of work.
