The Upper Iowa volleyball team closed out their season at Bemidji State University this afternoon. The Peacocks did not finish their season as they had envisioned as the Beavers swept their guests in three sets. UIU closed out the year losing all three matches this week to complete their season with a 16-18 record overall and 7-13 mark in the NSIC.

The Beavers picked up a decisive 25-15 win in set one. The Peacocks battled hard to try and even the match in set two, but lost 27-25. After the teams returned from the locker rooms, BSU took the third set, 25-19, to end the season for both teams.

Individual stats were not accurate following the match, but will be available soon.

Despite the disappointing last week, Upper Iowa's 16 wins shattered the old record for wins in a season. The old record of 11 had been reached twice, most recently a year ago. The team graduates two seniors, Shea Meyermann and Keri Vance, both of whose names will be etched in the record books for many years to come.
