Box Score

Upper Iowa continued their run in the UNK Fall Classic against the Eagles of Chadron State College. The Peacocks bounced back from being swept by #13 UN-Kearney earlier in the afternoon with a sweep of their own. Upper Iowa surpassed last year's win total just seven games into the 2008 season. UIU won by set scores of 25-22, 33-31, and 25-21.

Shea Meyermann once again led the Peacocks on the floor. The junior from Camanche, Iowa registered 12 kills and 16 digs to lead the team in both categories. Beth Deutmeyer and Nicky Brown both tallied 10 kills, while Kim Humpal added 9 and Sara Vance tallied 7. Keri Vance set up the offense all match long and picked up 41 assists. Brown helped Meyermann defensively as she recorded 10 digs.

The Eagles were led by Jamie O'Brien and Lindsy Heisler (14 kills each), Jennifer Luatua (16 digs), and Skye Duncan (33 assists).

Upper Iowa will be back in action tomorrow with their final two matches in the UNK Fall Classic. The Peacocks will face the #3 Bulldogs of Truman State at 12 p.m. and the Cardinals of Incarnate Word at 4 p.m.
