Upper Iowa Football Recruit Tally Reaches Fifty-One Commitments

Upper Iowa University Head Football Coach Mike Knoll has received commitments from fifty-one student-athletes to attend UIU and compete for the 2008 Peacock football team. The group of fifty-one includes three that started classes at Upper Iowa in January, ten that signed National Letters of Intent, eight transfers and two freshman that accepted scholarship offers, and twenty-eight student-athletes that have signed acceptance letters to Upper Iowa.

Upper Iowa is a member of NCAA Division II and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. UIU is coming off its second season in the Northern Sun Conference, finishing in a tie for 8th in the league (2-7) and compiling a 3-8 overall record. The Peacocks return two of their four NSIC All-Conference performers including cornerback Dominique Jackson (2nd Team) and offensive lineman Jerad Jandrain (Honorable Mention) 2008 campaign.
