Peacocks Lose Second Game on Day One at Husky Dome Invitational

The Upper Iowa softball team returned to the field Saturday afternoon to face the host Huskies for their second game in the Husky Dome Invitational hosted by St. Cloud State University. Upper Iowa fell behind 3-0 early and surrendered a pair of runs in the fifth and sixth innings without scratching the scoreboard themselves. The Peacocks record fell to 1-1 after the 7-0 loss to the Huskies.

Upper Iowa managed only one hit in the game and it came off the bat of Danielle DeSerano. The Peacock pitchers allowed ten hits and seven runs, five of which were earned. Stefani Schulte took the loss for Upper Iowa allowing three runs over three innings.

The Peacocks will return to action Sunday morning, Feb. 24, in the Husky Dome Invitational. Upper Iowa will face UW-Superior at 8 a.m. and Bemidji State, in a non-conference game, at 10 a.m.
