Upper Iowa's volleyball team traveled to Minnesota State University, Mankato to battle the Mavericks. Tonight's match was a non-conference contest, but next year Minnesota State is joining the Northern Sun Conference. The #14 Mavericks beat the Peacocks in three games to take the victory improving their record to 14-3. The loss dropped Upper Iowa's record to 4-14.

The Peacocks were dominated from the outset of game one. The offense had a poor night hitting a negative percentage in each game of the match. The Mavericks claimed a 46-19 advantage in kills and doubled the Peacocks in team blocks 8-4. The home team completed the sweep with game scores of 30-13, 30-15, and 30-12.

The Peacocks return to the friendly surroundings of Dorman Gym this weekend for two conference matches. Upper Iowa will look to get in the NSIC win column versus the University of Mary on Friday (7:00 p.m.) and Northern State University on Saturday (4:00 p.m.). U-Mary is currently 8th in the NSIC with a 6-8 (2-6 NSIC) record, while Northern State is tied for 6th with a 8-7 (3-4 NSIC) record.
