Recreation Center
Print
The Recreation Center sits adjacent to Dorman Memorial Gymnasium. The facility is free for students to use and open to community members for a monthly fee. The Rec Center was completed in 2001, since then the Upper Iowa rec staff has continued to improve the facility with new equipment and fitness programs year in and year out. The most recent change to the rec was a remodeling of the weight room and an addition of two curved treadmills during the 2019-20 winter break.
The rec is used by community members, students and student-athletes alike. Many teams utilize the rec for indoor practices during the winter months. The rec is also the home of Upper Iowa's intramural sports program. The program includes team sports such as volleyball, basketball, and softball that all UIU students can participate in.
