Upper Iowa University Athletics

The Peacocks, ranked #4 in the latest NWCA poll, claimed second place at the NCAA Super Regional 3 in St. Cloud, Minn. on Sunday.  Upper Iowa qualified six of their ten wrestlers for the NCAA Division II Championships in Pueblo, Colo. in two weeks.  After Franklin's title, three other Peacocks punched their tickets to the Championships by reaching the Super Regional finals.  Winston Robbins (157), Blake Sorensen (165) and Mitch Schultz (184) are all headed to Pueblo after finishing as the runner up in their respective weight classes. The final two Peacocks to earn a berth to the Championships were Wade Gobin (174, #6 NCAA) and Zach Rosol (285, #5 NCAA).  Both wrestlers finished fourth in the weight classes.
