Upper Iowa University Athletics

The UIU women’s basketball team lost a pair of games on the road in the NSIC over the weekend.  The Peacocks were led by freshman Whitney Kieffer, who averaged 17.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 54.5% from the floor and 83.3% from the free throw line. 

Upper Iowa will take a holiday break without any games until the new year.  The Peacocks will travel to Aberdeen, S.D. to face the Wolves of Northern State University on Jan. 2 and then move north to Bismarck, N.D. to battle the Marauders of the University of Mary on Jan. 3.  Both games are slated for 6 p.m. starts.
