Amanda Nunez and Karli Loewecke, both first-year Peacocks, claimed the ITA Central Regional Doubles Championship over the weekend in Kearney, Nebraska. The title marks the second straight year that Upper Iowa has claimed a championship at the ITA Central Regional.

Nunez and Loewecke won five matches over the weekend to claim the title. Along the way, the pair margin of victory averaged nearly five games. After cruising with 8-1 and 8-3 victories in their first two matches, the ladies were tested against a doubles team from Augustana, but won the match 8-6. The Peacock duo then faced a second doubles team from Augie, who had just eliminated teammates Courtney Romer and Dabiza in the quarterfinals. The semifinal match went to Nunez and Loewecke by another 8-6 count. In the final match, Upper Iowa won the title thanks to an 8-5 decision over Bronwyn Allmand and Amy Anderson of Colorado Christian. With the title, Nunez and Loewecke advance to the National Small College Championships in October.

Loewecke posted 1-1 records after falling in the round of 32.
