Martins Soares was one of two Peacocks to score a pair of goals as the men's soccer team opened their 2021 season with a pair of non-conference wins. Martins Soares scored an insurance goal in Upper Iowa's 3-0 victory over the University of Missouri-St. Louis and then scored the game winner in the 63rd minute in UIU's 2-1 win over Truman State University.
