The freshman pitcher/outfielder started game two versus the University of Wisconsin-Parkside on Saturday. Hilmer took the loss allowing five runs, four earned, over 7.1 innings on the hill, but did strike out 11 Rangers and hold UWP to a .241 average in the game. On Sunday, Hilmer got his first start in the field playing out in left; he went 2-4 with a solo homerun and a double.
