Nick Baumler, ranked No. 2 nationally, made his way to the finals at the NCAA DII Super Region V Championships with an 8-2 decision over UMary's Gerardo Jaime ahead of back-to-back bonus point wins. The senior pinned Noe Garcia of Minot State in 1:49 and secured his place in the finals with a 12-1 major decision over Augustana University's Daniel Bishop. Baumler then defeated No. 8 Noah Ryan of St. Cloud State by a 5-2 count to return to the NCAA Championships for the third-straight year.
