Sammy Garrett was named to the All-NSIC Second Team on Wednesday before she was the hero in two games at the Northern Sun Conference Tournament. The Ottumwa, Iowa native hit a walk-off home run against Winona State to give the Peacocks a 2-1 victory in the first round and followed that effort with a game-winning home run in the sixth inning of a 1-0 win over Minnesota State to send the Peacocks to the championship. She finished the five-game tournament with a .333 batting average and two home runs, and was named to the All-Tournament Team.
