Senior Jacqueline Flood had a strong weekend at the plate and in the circle at the Lewis Flyer Dome Invitational in Rosemont, Ill. The Mt. Vernon, Ill. native hit .357 with a double and a home run, the 22nd of her career, to lead the team with four RBI and nine total bases. In the circle, Flood was 1-1 on the weekend, but had a sparkling 0.41 ERA. She started the weekend with a 10-inning complete game loss to the Cardinals of William Jewell in which she just one earned run on five hits in the 3-2 loss. Then, on day two of the tournament, Flood threw a complete game shutout against Missouri S&T, holding the Miners to five hits while striking out four.
