The reigning NSIC Player of the Week turned in another 4-0 weekend performance as Upper Iowa defeated Minnesota State 7-2 and Southwest Minnesota State 9-0. Kawabata surrendered just two games in each of her singles wins (6-2, 6-0; 6-0, 6-2). In doubles, she teamed up with Kelly Jachymowski to knock off the Mavericks' and Mustangs' top doubles teams by scores of 8-4 and 8-3, respectively.
