Upper Iowa University Athletics

The redshirt junior picked up two wins against Southwest Minnesota State and Minnesota State to help UIU stay perfect in the NSIC. The two wins improved his overall record to 28-6, with five wins by fall, four by tech fall and six major decisions.
 
Ranked #5 nationally, Benitz had his hands full with SMSU's Kegen Fingalsen, but still came away with a 4-2 decision to give Upper Iowa a 24-0 lead.
 
Then against MSU, with Upper Iowa leading 10-6,  Benitz, put together a dominant performance claiming a 24-9 technical fall with 11 takedowns.
