Jacqueline Flood (P/1B, 5-8, Jr., Mt. Vernon, Ill., Mt. Vernon Township HS)
· Collected 10 hits in 19 at bats (.526), slugged 1.105 and had an .550 on-base percentage over the weekend to lead UIU
· Of her 10 hits, four were doubles, two were triples and she added a home run
· She scored five runs and brought home seven RBIs across the six games
· Leads the Peacocks this season in batting average (.427), runs (22), hits (41), extra-base hits (16) and slugging (.708)
· Made three starts during the week, spinning a one-hitter against St. Cloud State.
· Threw 18 innings, compiling a 4.28 ERA and striking out nine.
Team
· The Peacocks recorded a 3-3 record over the week, dropping two games at Augustana before returning home and sweeping St. Cloud on Friday and splitting with Minnesota Duluth on Saturday.
· Erica Kirgan led UIU with three home runs. The team hit seven big flies during the week.
· Taylor Bjork picked up her first career win when she appeared in relief against St. Cloud. Bjork pitched seven innings over the week with a team-low 2.00 ERA,
· Upper Iowa will host three doubleheaders this week, starting with a matchup against Minnesota State on Wednesday. The weekend set for the Peacocks starts with Minot State on Saturday, followed by U-Mary on Sunday.
