Jacob Greco (CF, 6-1, R-Fr., R/R, Fayette, Iowa, North Fayette HS)
  • Hit .389 in four games with 7 hits including 4 extra base hits
  • Greco recorded 3 doubles and a homerun to slug .722
  • Two doubles came in the sixth inning of game one on Saturday, while the homerun was the difference in game two’s victory on Sunday
  • Drove in a team-high 8 runs; scored 5 times and stole both bases he attempted
 
  • The Peacocks won three of the four games against Minnesota Crookston (15-8, 4-5, 9-5, 8-6)
  • One starter (Charley Cunningham) and a pair of relievers (Blake Seehusen and Mason Buster) earned wins for the Peacocks this past weekend against Minnesota Crookston
  • The pitching staff posted an ERA of 4.78 in 32 innings on the mound surrendering 17 earned runs on 31 hits while striking out 24 Golden Eagles
  • UIU’s hurlers held the Minnesota Crookston bats to a .254 average
  • At the plate, Upper Iowa hit .336 for the weekend led by Adam Budron (7-10, 2 2B, 4  RBI, 2 R), Alex George (9-16, 2 2B, 2 RBI, 3 R), Greco, Luis Ravelo (5-14, 1 3B, 1 HR, 4 RBI, 6 R)
  • Upper Iowa hit .336 as a group with 18 extra base hits including 11 doubles, 2 triples and 5 homeruns; Mitch Moser belted his first two collegiate homeruns in the 5-4 loss in game two
  • The Peacocks are now 10-0 when scoring at least five runs and 0-10 this season when they score 4 or less
  • UIU will welcome Minnesota Duluth to Fayette for a non-conference double header before traveling to Minot State for their first NSIC road games of the season on Friday and Saturday
