John Dobson earned 3 runs batted in to his team-high total of 8 through the first 6 games of the season as the Peacock baseball team returned to the field on Sunday in Clearwater, Fla.
The team came up short against #7 Grand Valley State University falling to 3-3 overall this season. As Upper Iowa is just getting their week in Florida started, the Lakers are wrapping up their week in Clearwater and improved to 7-3 with the wins. GVSU won game one, 5-4, and game two, 11-3.
Upper Iowa is scheduled for seven more games in next five days. After competing with Kentucky Wesleyan College on Monday, UIU will compete in three nine-inning games from Tuesday through Thursday. The Peacocks will face Ohio Valley University surrounding a matchup with Hillsdale University. Friday will be the final day of action for the Peacocks as they line up for two nine-inning games against Slippery Rock University and Northwood University.
