The Peacocks dropped a pair of NSIC games over the weekend at #13 Minnesota State and #21 Concordia-St. Paul. Upper Iowa was led by sophomore post Carly Pagel, who scored 12.5 points and pulled down 6 rebounds per game. Whitney Kieffer added 10.5 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals per game. UIU shot 42.6% as a team over the weekend, but allowed 53.1% shooting to their opponents and averaged 22.5 turnovers per contest. Upper Iowa did win the rebounding battle with a 73-58 advantage on the glass. This weekend, the Peacocks will return home to face the Mustangs of Southwest Minnesota State on Friday at 6 p.m. and the Cougars of Sioux Falls on Saturday at 4 p.m.
