Ethan Douglas recorded 16 tackles including 9 solo stops and 2.5 for loss on Saturday night against the visiting Mustangs of Southwest Minnesota State.  Douglas made a handful of great plays, but one stood out in particular. On second down and eight with eight minutes left in the second quarter, Douglas helped stop one of SMSU’s trips to the red zone when he jumped up to bat a Mustang pass into the air for Isaiah Donley to intercept. That interception led to one of seven Peacock touchdowns, but UIU dropped the four-point decision to the Mustangs at home despite 628 total yards of offense and 48 points on the scoreboard. Douglas and fellow linebacker Alex Wahl combined for 32 tackles with 5.5 for loss in the game.
