Aimee Wronski scored three times this past weekend to take sole possession of the top scoring spot in the conference with ten total goals. The junior is averaging a goal a game and with her help, the Peacocks extended their win streak to five games with back-to-back victories this past weekend. Against Northern State on Saturday, Wronski netted her eighth and ninth goals of the season to propel UIU to a 3-0 victory at home. All four of her shots against NSU were placed on frame. Then on Sunday against MSU Moorhead, the junior hit the game-winning goal with just 40 seconds left to give UIU a 4-3 win over the Dragons. On Sunday, she had seven total shots, placing two on goal, and she added an assist to her stat line. Wronski is now tied for the lead in the NSIC with five game-winning goals this season.

The Peacocks earned two big wins at home this past weekend as they hosted the Wolves of Northern State and the Dragons of MSU Moorhead. UIU outpaced the Wolves on Saturday en route to a 3-0 victory thanks to a stifling defense and a potent offensive attack. Aimee Wronski netted two goals in the victory, while her older sister Corinne Wronski earned her first goal of the season. In goal, Kaitlyn Emanuel recorded two saves and her fourth shutout of the season. On Sunday, the Peacocks jumped on the Dragons early and often and took a 2-1 lead into halftime thanks to goals from Madie Edwards and Mackenzie Taldone. The Dragons bounced back in the second half to tie the game, but Aimee Wronski sealed the game with her fifth game-winning goal of the season. The score was her tenth of the season – most in the NSIC – and came with just :40 seconds on the clock. The Peacocks sealed the 4-3 victory to improve to 6-1 in the conference this year and 8-2 overall. The Peacocks will hit the road this week as they head to Marshall, Minnesota to take on the Mustangs of Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday and the Cougars of Sioux Falls in South Dakota on Sunday.
