Upper Iowa University Athletics

Carly Pagel averaged a double-double with 11.5 points and 10 rebounds per game as the Peacocks dropped a pair of road games at NSIC North opponents.  The freshman post shot 55.6% (10-18) from the floor and added 4 steals over the weekend. 
 
Upper Iowa fell to Minnesota Duluth on Friday, 65-53, and then dropped a 93-72 decision at St. Cloud State on Saturday.  The Peacocks shot well from the floor hitting 46.1% of their attempts, but turnovers and rebounding hurt the team’s offensive opportunities.  In addition to Pagel’s numbers, Whitney Kieffer scored 15 and pulled in 6 rebounds per game, while Lindsay Carroll netted 11.5 per game thanks to 6 of 7 shooting from beyond the arc.  The Peacocks will host the Mavericks of Minnesota State and the Golden Bears of Concordia this Friday and Saturday in the team’s final home games of the season.  The team will Play 4 Kay on Friday night and honor their two seniors on Saturday night.
