Semelroth, Pozorski Garner All-Conference Recognition

The senior duo of Zoe Semelroth and Nicole Pozorski earned postseason awards following the Great Lakes Conference Volleyball season. Semelroth was named All-GLVC First Team, Pozroski earned All-GLVC Second Team and Emily Kono was listed as Upper Iowa's James R. Spalding Sportsmanship honoree.

Semelroth concluded the season with 423 kills (13th NCAA DII) and 4.15 kills per set (18th NCAA DII) while being one of three middle blockers listed in the top 20. She recorded a .359 percentage (2nd in GLVC) and added a team-high 82 blocks.

She will leave her mark in the record books being fourth in program history in career kills with 1,294. Semelroth was named First Team All-GLVC in 2024, Second Team All-GLVC in 2023 and Second Team All-NSIC (2022).

Pozorski became the Peacock volleyball program's all-time assist leader towards the tail-end of the season after eclipsing the previous mark of 3,833 assists set in 2009 by Keri Vance. She finished her career with 3,883 assists and averaged 9.60 assists per set, good for fourth in the GLVC. Pozorski added 93 kills (.253) and 25 aces.

Quincy University senior attacker Emma Wijnbergen, Rockhurst University senior libero Maureen Reilly, University of Missouri-St. Louis freshman attacker Alayna Santel, and Maryville University head coach Gretchen Moser have earned major postseason honors for the 2024 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Volleyball season, the league office announced on Thursday.

Wijnbergen was named Player of the Year, Reilly earned Libero of the Year, Santel garnered Freshman of the Year, and Moser was dubbed Coach of the Year by her peers. In total, 28 student-athletes claimed All-Conference honors, while 14 were chosen as GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship honorees for the sport and Truman State University was selected as the team sportsmanship award winner.

The All-Conference awards are nominated and voted on by league coaches, who, per GLVC Bylaws, are not permitted to vote for their own players.

A complete list of the 2024 All-GLVC team and postseason honors can be found in the attached GLVC Release.
