Between the deep shots, the Peacocks got a layup from Ashley Rosenstiel and a pair of free throws from Dinius. A pair of free throws and a jumper in the lane by the Blue Tigers in the final minute pulled the home team within 5 at the break, 31-26.
UIU opened the second half with back-to-back turnovers, but a pair of three-pointers by Klostermann and Gaber sandwiched a lay-in by Savannah Domeyer as the Peacocks got back to a seven-point advantage, 39-32. The Peacocks missed nine straight shots during the Lincoln 9-2 run that put the team in an eight-point hole.
